The children are behind you.

They begin the hundreds of miles caravan down the Appalachian trail to Huntsville, Alabama.

HARRIET SCOTT (V.O.)

The caravan of 3 horse drawn carts, their Nottoway Indian guides, and farm animals start their journey over mountains, across streams, and wilderness to Alabama.

While we were still in Virginia the Nottoway guides gave us an assortment of seeds.

They taught us how to plant the three sisters: Maize, Squash, and Beans.
